Lip Sync

This is one of those weird conversations you have in your mind, when you're up too late doing work. It's been an interesting year, learnt a lot about animating and hope to keep improving.

Puppet Run Cycle

I learnt a lot from my walk cycle exercise. I find the timing and movement of the puppet simple enough but the exaggeration is tricky. I didn't quite nail it but I definitely had more fun than with the frame by frame walk cycle attempt I did earlier.

Walk Cycle

Why is his head a cube you might ask? Because this was a frustrating process so I started to think of him as a blockhead. This is my first front walking walk cycle and boy does it show, I can definitely do better than this and plan to in the future.

Weight Exercise

It's still a rough. This animation went through several versions one with someone digging up treasure and the man holding the box struggling to hold it up as it got heavier and heavier. But there's always one thing that remains consistent Captain Buffbeard has treasure senses and he knows when people are trying to steal his stuff. They say he can sail across the seas in 5 minutes.

Head Turn

This one's a rough draft still, there's a lot of volume control issues so I'll need to go back into it and fix it at a later date. The character expresses my mood. Lately I've started to wear hats in school again to hide my facial expressions when I'm in a bad mood.

Pantomine Sack

I have no idea how the sack got up there but the mystery is part of the fun. Overall, I think this animation is "alright" but could be pushed further with some of the exaggerated elements. I wish I had enough time to draw the picture frame falling onto the laughing sack so that it got its comeuppance.
